November 2, 2025 – Mill Creek Fire Company was dispatched to a garage fire in the 5800 block of Old Capitol Trail in the Eastburn Heights community   The 10:56 AM dispatch brought firefighters from Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder, Christiana, Elsmere, Hockessin, Minquas and Townsend Fire Companies.  New Castle County Paramedics also responded to the alarm.

Forgathers arrived on the scene with fire showing from a 50’ x 50’ wood structure. The fire was quickly knocked down and placed under control at 11:11 AM   The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investing the cause of the fire.  No injuries were reported.
