August 9, 2024 – Mill Creek Fire Company was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 2600 block of Sherwood Drive, Sherwood Park at 7:27 PM.   Firefighters from Mill Creek Fire Company arrived on the scene within minutes and found smoke pouring from the structure.   Firefighters from Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder, Belvedere, Cranston Heights, Elsmere, Five Points, Hockessin and Minquas Fire Companies provided mutual aid.   Approximately 35 firefighters contained the fire in one area of the structure.   The house had smoke and water damage.

The fire was placed under control in 40 minutes.  The occupants of the home were able to safely escape from the fire.  No injuries were reported.   All units cleared the scene at 9:06 PM.
