James “Jim” Doughten, 59, of Marshallton, DE, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

A dedicated life member of the Mill Creek Fire Company, Jim served in many roles since 1990, including Engineering, Fire Police, and as a member of the Board of Directors. He was also a cherished member of the Mill Creek Santa Crew, bringing joy to children during the Christmas season. On December 19, 2022, Jim was honored with the title of “Fire Police Emeritus.”
