Townhouse Fire – Creekside

A fire destroyed the rear of an end unit townhome on April 4, 2011. When firefighters arrived at the early morning blaze in the 200 Block of Michelle Court, Creekside the rear of the home was involved with fire. Firefighters from Mill Creek Fire Company, Cranston Heights and Aetna were originally dispatched to the alarm at 2:13 AM. The alarm was upgraded and additional fire companies were dispatched. Firefighters made a quick attack on the fire and kept the flames from spreading to neighboring units. Occupants were home asleep when they were awaken by the fire. No one was injured and firefighters cleared the scene just before 4:00 AM. The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.
