Vehicle Crashes Into Home

Pike Creek Valley – Mill Creek Fire Company was alerted to a motor vehicle crash (MVC) in the 4700 block of Mermaid Blvd, Linden Heath.   The call was received on March 17, 2025 at 7:45 PM with multiple people reporting the crash.

Firefighters arrived on the scene to find heavy damage to a residential structure and one person injured.   Command made a request for the New Castle County Collapse Team to respond, which brought the Claymont Fire Company and City of Wilmington Fire Department to the scene.   Firefighters installed temporary support structures to assist with preventing future damage or injury.

One person was transported to Christiana Emergency Room for treatment.  There were no injuries repaired by any occupants of the home.  The New Castle County Paramedics also assisted with patient care.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 9:20 PM.
