John Buchanan Sr., age 86, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, February 3, 2011, surrounded by his family. Born in Wilmington, he was the son of the late Robert Stewart and Johanna T. (Roche) Buchanan.

John was employed at various businesses in the area, including Pusey & Jones and Electric Hose and Rubber. He retired in 1989 from the Colonial School District, where he worked in the maintenance department.

A dedicated member of his community, John was a lifetime member of the Mill Creek Fire Company and the Fire Police Association.
