The E-ONE Cyclone HP75 Quint Aerial Ladder – formerly 21-7 was a powerful and versatile apparatus that served the department in both firefighting and rescue operations. Powered by a Detroit Diesel Series 60 470 hp engine, it provided the strength and speed needed to respond quickly to emergencies.
The unit was equipped with an E-ONE 75 ft high-performance aerial ladder, allowing for extensive reach in high-rise firefighting and rescue scenarios. Its Akron Gemini 1000 gpm aerial monitor, paired with a Hale 2000 gpm mid-ship pump and 500-gallon water tank, gave it significant firefighting capabilities. It also carried 1200 ft of 4″ supply hose and 105 ft of ground ladders, ensuring readiness for various fireground operations.
Additionally, with an AMPS 10kw hydraulic generator and seating for six crew members, this unit was well-prepared to handle extended operations, including complex rescues and fire suppression tasks. Though now retired, 21-7 played a crucial role in countless emergency responses during its time in service, leaving behind a legacy of reliability and high performance.
