Townhouse Fire with Fire Showing In Pike Creek Valley

August 5, 2025 – At 10:50 PM Mill Creek Fire Company was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 5400 block of Jenmatt Drive, Linden Square.  Neighbors were calling 9-1-1 reporting the townhouse was on fire.  Units arrived on the scene with fire showing from the front of the residence.   Additional reports had fire showing in the roof area.   Thirty firefighters from seven companies battled the blaze.  The structure was heavily damaged.  Mill Creek was assisted by Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder, Christiana, Cranston Heights, Elsmere, Hockessin and Minquas Fire Companies.  Five Points Fire Company provided cover-up protection.

New Castle County Paramedics also responded with BLS units from Mill Creek and Hockessin Fire Companies.   The scene was placed under control at 11:43 PM.  Units remained on the scene until 1:30 AM.  No injuries were reported, and the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire
