Mill Creek Fire Company is saddened to share the passing of longtime member Cole “Ed” Kyle, who passed away on March 6, 2026, at the age of 78.

Ed spent most of his life in North Wilmington, where he was well known for both his involvement in the community and his work in the food and beverage industry. Over the years, he managed Del-Tech’s cafeteria and later operated his own sandwich shop, Stoltzfus, located in Fox Run. Through his work and service, Ed built lasting relationships and left a positive impact on those around him.

He will be remembered by members of the fire company and the community for his years of dedication and commitment.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ed’s memory to Mill Creek Fire Company, 3808 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808.
