Motor Vehicle Crash with Heavy Entrapment on Linden Hill Road

Pike Creek Valley – On April 17, 2025, at 8:22 PM Mill Creek Fire Company was alerted for a motor vehicle crash on Linden Hill Road between Pike Creek Blvd and Skyline Drive.   Initial reports indicated a white truck had struck a tree with a person trapped.

Deputy Chief Steve Germain arrived on the scene within minutes and confirmed a single patient was trapped in the vehicle.   Squad 2 firefighters Captain Andrew Houser, Lt. Emily Streahle, FF Nick Del Duco, FF Jason Fernald, FF Raymond Chung, FF Anthony Carnevale immediately started extricating the heavily trapped patient from the vehicle that was partially wrapped around a large tree.   Extrication was completed within eleven minutes of the original dispatch time.  The patient was transported to the Christiana Hospital in serious condition.

Units remained on the scene until 9:36 PM.   The Delaware State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
