August 17, 2011 – Early in the morning, a vehicle fire was reported on Limestone Road just south of Paper Mill Road. The vehicle, a van with a built in utility bucket, was fully involved when firefighters arrived. As the fire apparatus responded to the scene a column of smoke can be seen from Kirkwood Highway almost five miles away. Firefighters attacked the fire using firefighting foam to help extinguish the blaze. Traffic north bound on Limestone Road was backed up for miles as firefighters cleaned up the scene. No injuries were reported.
