By submitting this application, you understand the probationary requirements and agree to qualify
for active status during your probationary period with us.

After submission, you will be contacted by someone from the membership committee to set up an
interview. Most interviews take place in the evening, and we will work around your schedule as best as we can.

At the interview, you will meet a number of our members, and you will be asked questions so that we can get to know you and understand why you are interested in joining the fire service.

Some examples of possible questions are:
Tell us about yourself, and why do you want to join the fire service?
How much do you know about the fire service?
What are your plans for the future?

At the interview you will also:
Learn about Mill Creek Fire Company, our history, and what to expect from your time with us.
Be given an affidavit to sign.
Be provided information about how to get a criminal background check and driving record check.
(Background checks must be completed on all applicants. We will reimburse you for the costs (approximately $60) upon successfully becoming a probationary member.)

If you receive the recommendation of the membership committee, your application will be presented to the
general membership at a regular company meeting. A majority vote of acceptance is required to become a probationary member.

Regular company business meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Chambers Memorial Hall at 3900 Kirkwood Highway (frequently referred to as the old fire station).
