House Fire – 100 Block Redwood Avenue, Stanton

On November 2, 2010 at 1:48 AM Mill Creek Fire Company was dispatched on a house fire in the 100 block of Redwood Avenue, Stanton. NCC Fireboard reported receiving several calls. Mill Creek was assisted on the initial response with Minquas Fire Company, Cranston Heights Fire Company, Belvedere Fire Company, Elsmere Fire Company and Five Points Fire Company. First arriving apparatus reported the structure fully involved with fire. The home was not occupied at the time of the fire and was heavily damaged throughout the structure. A neighboring house suffered heat damage. The fire was declared under control in 45 minutes. Approximately 40 firefighters battled the blaze. Units were on the scene until 4:30 AM. There were no injuries and the State of Delaware Fire Marshall’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire. Cover up service was provided by Hockessin Fire Company and Talleyville Fire Company.
